Alejandro Garnacho is looking for a new club this summer and Bayern Munich have been linked with the youngster.Steven is a senior writer and covers Manchester United for the Manchester Evening News. The winger is believed to be keen on staying in the Premier League, but a move abroad could be in the offing if the money is right this summer and ESPN have suggested that Bayern Munich could be a destination. After the departure of Leroy Sane on a free transfer, Bayern Munich are in the market for a new winger and have submitted a bid for Luis Diaz, but Liverpool have insisted he is not for sale.Whether Liverpool can be tempted into selling Diaz remains to be seen. Bayern will look at alternatives if they can’t sign the Colombian international and Garnacho would tick boxes.Importantly, Garnacho is attainable after a breakdown in communications with Ruben Amorim at the end of last season. It would also take a sum in the region of £50million to sign him.Liverpool have knocked back a bid of £58m for Diaz from the German champions and have allocated cash to strengthen their left wing. Garnacho is not as proven as Diaz, but it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Bayern explore a deal for him, provided Liverpool stand firm with their stance on Diaz.Garnacho’s ceiling has not been reached in Manchester and there is more to come from him in his career, which raises the prospect of him becoming a star after his departure from United. There can be no regrets if the former Atletico Madrid youngster signs for Bayern and becomes one of Europe’s finest wingers because he is responsible for the circumstances around his impending summer exit.Alejandro Garnacho made his debut under Ralf Rangnick.(Image: Photo by Ash Donelon/Manchester United via Getty Images)United signed Garnacho as a teenager and gave him a platform in the academy to reach the first-team. Garnacho has done brilliantly, but his final season will leave a slightly sour taste.Garnacho was dropped from the squad alongside Marcus Rashford for the Manchester derby in December, which was the first sign of discontent. But Garnacho was reintegrated into the squad, demonstrating a willingness to put things right, before making further headlines with his social media activity. His younger brother, Roberto, has also drawn unnecessary attention to the family with his social media commentary, and the cracks between Garnacho and Amorim widened at the end of the season.Garnacho reacted poorly to not starting in the Europa League final and his brother wrote on social media: “Working as no one else, helping every round, coming from two goals last two finals, just to be on the pitch for 19 mins and get thrown under the bus. Wowe, hahahaha.”The Garnachos have become an unhelpful distraction and Amorim has drawn a line in the sand, telling the youngster to find a new club this summer, which is the right thing to do.Garnacho is leaving United because of his own actions. Amorim has handled Garnacho correctly and cannot be undermined. That’s why there will be no regrets even if Garnahco becomes a star at his next club.Last weekend, the MEN mingled among fans in Sweden and the general consensus in a supporters’ club was that Garnacho must leave. Local fans in Manchester will agree with their assessment.United have already got an upgrade on Garnacho, having signed Matheus Cunha from Wolves for £62.5m, and the Brazilian is expected to provide a better cutting edge in front of goal.Garnacho is still developing and Cunha is almost close to the finished article.
