Residents in FCT are turning to firewood as cooking gas prices soar amid rising costs, according to reports from News Agency of Nigeria. The Federal Government has set a ceiling price for petrol at ₦1,350 per litre, but the rising costs have left many struggling.

In response, NLC issued an ultimatum to the government on the petrol price and minimum wage. Meanwhile, Donald Duke, who is running for president, has promised to reduce petrol prices if elected.
