The Magpies saw Callum Wilson depart on a free transfer earlier this summer and are still aiming to sign a replacement, with Woltemade seen as a successor to Alexander Isak. The Sweden international is unlikely to play for the club again amid his ongoing transfer saga, as he is still pushing to join Liverpool in the final days of the summer market. Newcastle could also move promising forward William Osula before the window shuts and are eyeing Dovbyk as a more experienced option, with a potential bargain deal on the horizon. Dovbyk, who joined Roma from La Liga side Girona last summer, made 32 appearances in his debut Serie A season, scoring 12 goals and providing three assists.
