LiveTransfer news LIVE: Man Utd agree first signing amid Antony twist, Liverpool and Arsenal latestThis year’s first summer transfer window opens in less than a month, giving Premier League clubs such as Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool the chance to get their business done earlyVideo LoadingVideo UnavailableNico Williams set for transfer tussleThe Premier League season may not be done yet but clubs are already pressing on with their transfer business ahead of the new early window opening on June 1.
Due to the expanded Club World Cup, which takes place in the United States across June and July, FIFA have split the summer transfer window into two parts.
The first window closes on June 10 before opening as normal six days later.
That allows clubs to get their business done even earlier than usual and no one has a bigger summer ahead of them than Manchester United.
Thursday’s impressive 3-0 win away to Athletic Bilbao in the Europa League means that Ruben Amorim’s side have one foot in the final, and if they win the competition, they’ll play in the Champions League next season.
That’d significantly boost United’s revenue and give them more pulling power.
Amorim and Co.
have identified Matheus Cunha as their top target, with the Wolves star’s contract including a £62.5million release clause.
Rivals Arsenal could compete with United for his signature, although they’re focussed on signing a central striker in a bid to knock Liverpool off their perch after they were crowned Premier League champions.

We will focus on trying to improve the team, and add new players if we can, and if some player leaves because someone comes with what the club considers to be a good offer, we have to be ready for those situations, but not with fear.

This surprises me greatly,” Hamann wrote in his Sky Germany column.
I thought a contract extension with him was a mere formality.
Bayern may not have been willing to give Dier a two-year contract plus an option for a further year, which is what he’s now getting in Monaco.”Perhaps Bayern should have been a bit more creative.
Dier was needed in the second half of the season and rarely, if ever, attracted negative attention on the pitch.
For me, that’s always the best sign for a central defender at Bayern Munich.
He also addresses certain issues internally.
He was also a goal threat, scoring in the second leg against Milan.
You can always rely on him.”Dier is a player who holds a team together.
When he’s not playing, he doesn’t complain.
When he is, he performs.
He’s been outstanding during his time at Bayern.
Together with [Josip] Stanisic, he’s been outstanding in big games in recent weeks.
This is a huge loss, especially with the Club World Cup in mind.”This might also leave a bad taste in the mouth of his good friend Harry Kane.
