Juventus are looking to sell the former Aston Villa midfielder after one season, following a disappointing 2024-25 campaign in Serie A, which saw him start on just three occasions in the league. The Brazilian also failed to report for the first day of Juventus’s pre-season training camp. It is understood that Nottingham Forest have the priority in the race to sign Douglas from Juventus this summer, despite there being another option in the Premier League and an interested club in Saudi Arabia. Forest will look to close a deal for an initial loan with a future option to buy, which could become mandatory under certain conditions. The total cost of the operation is expected to exceed €30m.
